The Napoleon High School Advanced Chemistry class visited the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University. FRIB is a world-leading user facility that enables scientists to create and examine short-lived isotopes to understand nuclear structure, nuclear astrophysics, and fundamental interactions. The facility's powerful heavy-ion accelerator allows for the production of a wide range of rare isotopes, expanding our knowledge of the nuclear chart and potentially leading to applications in medicine, materials science, and national security. Students had the opportunity to witness cutting-edge science in action and learn about the fascinating world of nuclear physics.

Spanish students have been learning about theTarragona Human Tower Competition, also known as the Concurs de Castells. A biannual festival held in Tarragona, Spain, where teams of castellers (tower builders) compete to create the tallest and most complex human towers. Mr. Marshall's Spanish 1 students built towers with plastic cups (using actual students seemed like an accident waiting to happen). They competed against each other to see who could build the tallest tower!

Pirate Families,
As you know, Mr. Graham is retiring as of June 30, 2025; the Board of Education has been actively working to find a qualified successor to lead our district. Below is an update on our search.
Community Involvement: In February, a community survey was available for everyone to provide their thoughts and opinions. Thank you to everyone who participated. We value the input of our community members and staff in this important decision-making process. With the help of Jay Bennett, Assistant Director of Executive Search Services, Michigan Association of School Boards, the Board of Education uses this information to guide its selection process.
Next Steps: As the search progresses, the Board of Education will interview selected candidates who meet the established criteria in first-round interviews. See the CANDIDATE PRESS RELEASE 4/15/2025 for more information.
We greatly appreciate your continued support and involvement during this process. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we are dedicated to maintaining a transparent and collaborative selection process for our next Superintendent. Together, we will continue to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Napoleon Community Schools community.
