Upon completion of the investigation, to ensure transparency regarding student safety, I would like to provide a brief overview of an incident that occurred yesterday, September 18th, 2025, on campus. After middle school hours, a concern was reported to the school office. Local authorities were on-site and quickly assessed the situation, determining that there was no threat to student safety and that a lockdown was unnecessary.
We appreciate the Napoleon Police Department, school staff, and everyone involved for their swift and professional response. As always, we are committed to a safe environment for all students/ staff at Napoleon Community Schools.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our campus safe.
Sincerely,
Patrick Dillon
Superintendent

Good Afternoon Pirate Families,
As the State of Michigan has not yet adopted a budget for the 2025-26 school year, it is crucial for all families to complete the Food Service Education Benefits Form. This form determines whether your child remains eligible for free or reduced-price meals if the State does not continue to cover the cost of school meals. It also collects information needed to ensure the school receives state and federal funding for education programs. Without this information, our school could lose important funding for education programs that our students need. These supplemental grants and programs have the potential to offer supports and services for our students.
If you haven't already done so, please take just 2-3 minutes to fill out the Education Benefits Form. You can complete the form quickly online through the Meal Magic Family Portal without needing to log in. Go to: https://napoleon.familyportal.cloud/ , click on "Apply for Benefits," and follow all prompts. Alternatively, you may download and print the form HERE to return it to your child's school office. Rest assured, all submitted information is confidential. Please contact NCS Food Service Director Andrea Haskell at andrea.haskell@napoleonschools.org or (517) 905-5711 with any questions.
I appreciate your efforts to ensure our school district has access to all available resources by submitting your Education Benefits Form before Friday, September 19, 2025.
Thank you for your continued support,
Patrick Dillon
