National School Lunch Week provides an opportunity to recognize the many benefits of school meals and the people who work each day to provide nutritious, appealing meals to students. At Napoleon Community Schools, students have access to a variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, milk and other nutritious foods as part of meals designed to meet federal school nutrition standards.
“School meals provide students with the nutrition they need to fuel their school day,” said Andrea Haskell, Food Service Director at Napoleon Community Schools. “National School Lunch Week gives us a great opportunity to celebrate our students, our food service team and all the work that goes into making school meals nutritious, enjoyable and accessible to our students.”
Throughout National School Lunch Week, Napoleon Community Schools will bring the “Cafeteria Circus” theme to life with fun activities and special touches in the cafeteria. Students will be encouraged to explore the variety of nutritious choices available to them and discover how making healthy choices can help them stay energized, focused and ready to learn!
