Three Napoleon High School students, Ethan Hays, Jocelyn Miller, and James Perdue, presented their research at the prestigious 11th Annual High School GIDAS Research Conference held at the University of Michigan on Saturday, April 13th. They presented their research to a panel of eminent scientists in this field.
Their research focused on two intriguing topics:
How Obesity Relates to Alzheimer's Disease
How Friedrich's Ataxia and Spinocerebellar Ataxia Respond to the Treatment rHuEPO
Utilizing the UCSC genome browser, the students conducted a thorough analysis of genetic data to identify relevant connections between these conditions.

On Saturday, April 13th, the Napoleon High School Quiz Bowl Team competed at the Michigan State Championships in the C/D division. They achieved a commendable 16th place finish out of a strong field.
Additionally, senior Thomas Hays was named to the Quiz Bowl Class C/D 2nd Team All-State. This recognition highlights his exceptional knowledge and performance at the tournament.




Attention all HS Napoleon Families:
This is a reminder that tomorrow, April 11, all juniors will be taking the WorkKeys exam and will report to their testing room first thing in the morning. All other grades will report to classes as normal. Again students testing should be well rested and have a healthy breakfast. We thank you for all your help in making this testing experience a good one. We will return to business as usual on Friday!
CHARGE AND REMEMBER YOUR CHROMEBOOKS!!
Attention all High School Napoleon Families:
This is a reminder that tomorrow, April 10, all 9-11 grades will be taking the PSAT and SAT exam and will report to their testing room first thing in the morning. All seniors are excused from school all day. 9-11 grades will be released after their test is completed and the times will vary! Please have a plan for pick up knowing that your student will need to contact someone for pick up when they complete their exam and are released. The exam is approximately 3 and a half hours long. Students will not have access to phones during testing so it is very Important that you do not contact your student.
This test is ALSO online and students will need to bring their assigned Chromebook to school with a full charge. It is important to make sure your student is well rested and has a healthy breakfast to start their day. Thank you for your continued support.
JUNIOR TESTING TOMORROW:
This is a reminder that tomorrow, April 9, all juniors will be taking the M-Step exam and will report to their testing room first thing in the morning. There will be no Career Center for Juniors ONLY. All other grades will attend their classes as normal. All testing this week is a State requirement for graduation, so your student's performance and attendance is very important to us.
