¡Qué experiencia increíble para our Pirate students!🏴☠️🎓
Mr. Marshall took his Spanish 2 classes on an exciting trip to the campus of Eastern Michigan University where students explored college life and future opportunities. The adventure continued at a Spanish restaurant where students put their Spanish skills to the test by ordering their meals completely in Spanish! 🌮🗣️
Hands-on learning like this helps bring the classroom to life and gives students confidence using their language skills in real-world situations.

Students recently had the opportunity to explore the beautiful campus of Western Michigan University with Mr. Keeler! 🏫💚🤎
The visit gave students a chance to learn more about college life, academic programs, campus opportunities, and what it could look like to continue their education after high school. Experiences like these help our Pirates begin thinking about their future goals and possibilities!
Thank you, Mr. Keeler, for helping inspire and encourage our students as they explore potential college and career paths! 🎓☠️

We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Russell, our Middle School Principal, and Mr. O’Leary, our High School and Ackerson High School Principal. The countless hours they dedicate to their buildings do not go unnoticed—working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly each and every day.
Their leadership, commitment, and care for our students and staff make a lasting impact. Thank you both for all that you do for our school community! 💚

Aubrey Weber had a blast at DECA ICDC (International Career Development Conference)!
Pirate Aubrey represented Jackson Area Career Center in the Principles of Marketing competition in Atlanta, GA this week. This is comprised of a comprehensive business administration exam and a role play scenario based presentation.
🏆Aubrey outperformed all other competitors in the exam portion and received a high exam score achievement medal.🏅 She was called up on stage in front of approximately 30,000 of her peers to receive this honor at the Mercedez Benz Stadium (what an experience!!🤩).
Although she didn’t proceed into the final round of the competition, she should be incredibly proud of her accomplishment! She’s already pumped and ready for DECA next year!
We are so PROUD of YOU, Aubrey!!!! 🏴☠️

We are incredibly proud of our eight National Honor Society students who spent time this morning giving back to the community!
Caitlyn Briggs, Jocelyn Gamez, Myla Hasegawa, Ethan Hays, Tyler Nall, Lucas Rowley, Cade Rugg, and Jenna Yob teamed up with People for the Parks and Trails and Grow Jackson to help revitalize the garden beds at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
In just a short window, these leaders tackled weeding and mulching to help support local food access and keep our public spaces beautiful. Way to show what leadership and service look like in action!

The Jackson Community Foundation is looking for new members for the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). We are asking for your help in identifying students in upcoming grades 8th–12th who are ready to make a tangible impact in Jackson County.

Our juniors had an amazing opportunity to visit Albion College, Spring Arbor University, and Jackson College! 🎓
They were well-behaved, engaged, and truly represented our school with pride. From exploring campuses to getting a real taste of college life, students gained valuable insight into their future options—right here in our local community.
A great day of learning, growth, and inspiration!
