Each month, I will pass on the list of scholarship opportunities they have created just for you. Below, you’ll find some great options with deadlines in September. This list includes a variety of scholarships—local, national, and for different fields of study—so be sure to scroll through them all!
The College and Career Access Center (CCAC) is here to support you every step of the way. They offer free, one-on-one assistance with scholarship applications, FAFSA, college applications, and more. You can schedule a time to meet with them right here at Napoleon High School (you will learn more soon) or visit our office at the Jackson Crossing.

Many times this scholarship has a LOW number of applicants due to its requirements but I can help you adjust your career path to meet the requirements if needed to apply.

Please see the following local scholarship below! Your parents must be members of the Chamber. Due date to have back in office is APRIL 17, 2026. That means if your parent works for a business that is a part of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, you can apply. If you need to clarify your particular situation, please ask!

*Rosa Parks Scholarship
The 2026 Rosa Parks Scholarship ($3,000) application is now available on our website: rosaparksscholarship.org
This is an annual scholarship, and we would encourage your school to ensure that our scholarship (and website) is included on your master list of scholarships. This scholarship is open to all Michigan high school seniors.

*Sigmund Scholarships Available
Please see the message below regarding the Bill and Vi Sigmund Foundation Scholarship! This scholarship is a need based scholarship but I encourage all students and families to attempt the application and put in your own words what your needs are. I feel like in our very expensive world, even middle income families have a good story for need. This scholarship is for $6,000 and can be for students going to College or Trade school! It is DUE April 15!
There are some items that may take some time to get back from your college, so please do not wait to complete those items. Start those items today even if you are waiting to complete other items later! The College Financial aid document could be the reason you don't submit your application on time if you wait.

Once again, the Bill & Vi Sigmund Foundation is offering your senior students up to $6,000 to attend a college or trades school. This school year, 145 scholarships were given to Jackson and Lenawee County students. Application deadline is April 15. Forms and directions are available on our website at sigmundfoundation.org.
So that you are aware of the importance you play as a high school advisor, I asked various recipients how they learned about the Sigmund Scholarship. BY AND LARGE, YOU were the important piece that introduced your students to our scholarship. Although some learned through newspaper advertisements, etc., it is your assistance that they remember! YOU are making a difference.

Applicants must meet these requirements:
· Currently a senior in good standing at a Michigan public high school in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo and their surrounding counties high schools.
· Has relocated more than 50 miles and changed schools due to their family's relocation between grades 9 and 12.
· Currently have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent if different scale)
**Once you complete the application you will need to see me to fill out the counselor portion to complete the application before it is DUE MARCH 2, 2026!

$2,500 scholarship award, plus monthly stipends of up to $100 throughout college
One-on-one support from SchoolHouse Connection staff
Three all-expenses-paid trips

Important: Our program begins working with students one year before they start college to provide intensive college readiness support.
Eligibility highlights include:
Currently reside in the United States. Undocumented students are eligible.
Born on or after June 2, 2007.
Experienced homelessness within the last six years.
Starting college for the first time in the 2027–2028 academic year at a four-year college or university, community college, or trade school. This includes:
High school juniors
High school seniors planning to take a gap year
Students earning a GED who plan to start college in 2027–2028

be a Gleaner Life benefit member. A benefit member is either:
an individual who is insured under a Gleaner life insurance certificate, or
an individual who is a Gleaner Life annuitant.
plan to enroll full-time* (*exceptions apply) at an accredited college, university, graduate school, or vocational/technical school within the U.S. during the Fall of 2026.
have a GPA of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

The Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $13,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend college in the fall. The application is simple and once you apply, students will be awarded via a random drawing.

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students who have demonstrated integrity, determination in overcoming adversity, academic potential, personal aspirations, strength of character and financial need.
My name is Nicholas Bauer and I am the Michigan Field Director for the Horatio Alger Scholarship Program. Most students apply for scholarships because a counselor encouraged them to do so, and your recommendation truly makes a difference.
JUNIORS: The Association awards (3) $25,000 National Scholarships
and (15) State $10,000 scholarships. Deadline: March 1st
SENIORS: $10,000 to $52,000 scholarships to specific colleges and
