Seniors and Parents,
Each month, I will pass on the list of scholarship opportunities they have created just for you. Below, you’ll find some great options with deadlines in September. This list includes a variety of scholarships—local, national, and for different fields of study—so be sure to scroll through them all!
The College and Career Access Center (CCAC) is here to support you every step of the way. They offer free, one-on-one assistance with scholarship applications, FAFSA, college applications, and more. You can schedule a time to meet with them right here at Napoleon High School (you will learn more soon) or visit our office at the Jackson Crossing.
Please contact Mrs. King at kim.king@napoleonschools.org regarding any questions you have about scholarships!

*Sigmund Scholarships Available
Please see the message below regarding the Bill and Vi Sigmund Foundation Scholarship! This scholarship is a need based scholarship but I encourage all students and families to attempt the application and put in your own words what your needs are. I feel like in our very expensive world, even middle income families have a good story for need. This scholarship is for $6,000 and can be for students going to College or Trade school! It is DUE April 15!
There are some items that may take some time to get back from your college, so please do not wait to complete those items. Start those items today even if you are waiting to complete other items later! The College Financial aid document could be the reason you don't submit your application on time if you wait.

Re: Scholarship Availability
Good morning!
Once again, the Bill & Vi Sigmund Foundation is offering your senior students up to $6,000 to attend a college or trades school. This school year, 145 scholarships were given to Jackson and Lenawee County students. Application deadline is April 15. Forms and directions are available on our website at sigmundfoundation.org.
So that you are aware of the importance you play as a high school advisor, I asked various recipients how they learned about the Sigmund Scholarship. BY AND LARGE, YOU were the important piece that introduced your students to our scholarship. Although some learned through newspaper advertisements, etc., it is your assistance that they remember! YOU are making a difference.

Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and financial need will be considered. This scholarship is renewable; however, recipients must reapply each year.
Please accept my apologies for the late notice. I thought the information had already been shared with non-Lenawee County schools that may have eligible students.
Will you please send me your email address so that I can share the link to the application portal and an informational sheet outlining the process for applying through the portal? To apply, students must complete and submit the general application first to determine which scholarships they qualify for. They must then complete and submit each individual scholarship application for which they are eligible. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on March 15, 2026.
If you have students who qualify and need assistance or have questions about the application process, please encourage them to contact me. I am happy to help. The link to the scholarship portal is: https://lenaweecef.awardspring.com/
