
It's Kindness Month at Eby! All the classes are participating in a kindness challenge to see who can grow the longest paper chain in the month of November. Each loop classes earn is because of an act of kindness their teacher witnessed. Thank you Mrs. Upham for organizing this challenge!

Story Fest came to Eby this week! Anne Walkowe from JDL introduced Robin Nott, who played music and shared interactive stories with students in Y5/K-3 grades. Eby students were amazing listeners!



Free Books, Cider and Donuts, and other fun this weekend at the YMCA Saturday, October 28th!


Eby is hosting a JDRF walk this Friday, October 20th at 2:20 pm on our track on the playground. It is also our last Hat Day. Students can bring a $1 and wear a hat. Help us reach our goal of $3000..

Ms. Marosi's first grade friends made some Crocodiles from the Nile.


Eby students have been collecting coins and donations for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) . We are half way to our goal and only one week left so send in those coins and sneakers! The collection will end next Friday, October 20th with a walk in the afternoon. Teachers are donating money each week to wear jeans!


4th Grade students worked on coding their LEGO robots this week with Shoprats in the STEM Lab!


Eby classrooms decorated pumpkins this week to donate to Napoleon High School's American Cancer Society Chapter to be raffled off at the football game this Friday, October 13th. You can buy tickets at the game to show your support and win a pumpkin!

Goodies With Grown-ups was a huge success! Our Young-Fives and Kindergarten students invited a grownup or two to join them for a treat and an opportunity to color a picture , read a book, and visit on Friday, September 22, 2023. Our local police and fire departments also stopped by to be guests. Thank you to everyone who participated.








Today marked the start of Homecoming week and students at Eby enjoyed representing different parts of the world in their world wide attire. Tomorrow is Pajama Day!


Eby Teachers had a great professional development on Friday, September 22, 2023 after the students went home on the half day. They were trained in using the Fountas & Pinnell Literacy Benchmark Assessment Kits by Maeghan McCormick from the Jackson County ISD.



Eby Fifth Graders from Mrs. Bowden's room enjoy learning about playing the violin with visitors from the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. Each year, Eby students have the opportunity to channel interest in violins into playing the violin.



The 53rd Annual Napoleon Lions Punt, Pass & Kick Contest is TONIGHT
Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Napoleon Athletic Complex. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the competition will begin at 6:00 p.m. There is no cost for this competition.
*T-shirts will be presented to all participants; and a trophy will be presented to each grade champion.

Ezra Eby students were fortunate enough to have the Shop Rat Foundation crew join and work with them on Lego Robotics programming. Mr. Sparks' crew had a great time working on their projects today!





Due to numerous power outages in the area, and no power in any of the school buildings, there will be no school today. (FRIDAY, AUG 25th). This also includes Pirate Cove Chidcare.

Due to anticipated high temperatures ALL NCS buildings will move to a half day schedule for Thursday 8/24/23. All call notifications will go out later this afternoon with an additional reminder this evening.


NCS is eagerly preparing to kick off the school year with our 11th Annual Block Party & Open Houses event! This is a fantastic opportunity for both new and returning students to get acquainted with our campus, meet their teachers, and mingle with their peers. It is an occasion filled with excitement & fun that will surely set the tone for an incredible academic year ahead. This event has become a beloved tradition within our school community, and we cannot wait to celebrate and reconnect with all of you!! GO PIRATES!!!
