SCHOOL CLOSING GUIDELINES
The county's superintendents have agreed as a group to base their decision to close school on snowfall amounts of 5-6 inches or actual wind chill temps at or below minus 20 degrees. Actual conditions in specific areas will also be considered (visibility, wind speeds, sidewalk and road conditions, and sustained cold temps) with the decision made by the Superintendent or his designee based on the well-being of the students at all times.
WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENT REMINDERS 2014-2015
Please remember your students need to be out at their designated pick-up location 5 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time
and should dress appropriately for the weather.
EBY PARENTS: Winter brings fun, but only if we are prepared! PLEASE send your child to school with a warm winter coat, gloves, hats/scarves, boots & any other appropriate attire that will keep your child warm during outdoor recess.
The cancelation of school due to bad weather is made by the Superintendent or his designee. As soon as it is determined that school cannot convene, the announcement will be sent out via the school phone messaging system and released
to local radio and television stations.
