Napoleon Community Schools seeks to provide quality opportunities for its students in all areas including extra-curricular. It is our belief that some students have talents and abilities in which they have a desire to contribute to more than one team in a particular athletic season and both of these teams can benefit. In support of this position the NCS Board of Education has approved dual sports at Napoleon High School effective immediately. Being a dual sport athlete doesn’t mean that students will practice and play twice as much as the typical student athlete, what it does mean is that they will split time between sports based on a primary sport, and a secondary sport. A contract which explains the details and guidelines of being a dual sport athlete is available in the HS office. Before students can dual sport, this contract needs to be signed by the parents, each head coach, and also get final approval from the NCS Athletic Director, Mr. Tom Johns. The parties involved in the contract agree that dual sport participation is in the best educational and athletic interest of the student-athlete. We would encourage student athletes, and parents to contact Mr. Johns via email or at (517) 905-5718 with any questions they might have in regards to this information.
